Flora High School students Johnae’ Antionette Wise and Cylyse Malie-Gracie Robinson will be on display in the U.S. Capitol for a year as winners in the 2020 National Congressional Art Competition. Congressman Jim Clyburn selected 10th grader Johnae’s artwork entitled “Johnae’, Self-Portrait”, as the District 6 winner. “Gracie, Self-Portrait” by Cylyse Malie-Gracie was the District 2 winner chosen by Congressman Joe Wilson. Mrs. Melvin is in our Social Studies department and teaches a variety of classes including AP Macro and AP World History. She's been teaching at AC Flora since 2008 and is our Social Studies department chair.
